Across Manitoba there are numerous and varied examples of things that conrtribute to a healthy community.
I'll use Deloraine as an example.
A large park, right in the centre of town is not only attractive, but it is home to some heritage displays.
The old Post Office is one of several heritage buildings that have been preserved.
Built in 1896, this historic fieldstone building is a monument to the prairie settlers faith, determination and resourcefulness.
Now it serves as a community resource center where you will find employment services, pulic internet access, a Service Canada location, training programs and more.
Also in the centre of town, an information centre with a washroom. Convenient, helpful and well - maintained.
In order to thrive, Manitoba's rural communities have recognized that they need to keep striving to provide both citizens and visitors with information, services, activities and attractive surroundings.
Deloraine continues to seek ways to do this.
