Mr. Haslam established Haslam’s Clothing and Furnishings, one of the early establishments on Carberry’s new Main Street
He was active in the community, being District Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge, on the Chamber of Commerce, and 1st Vice president of the Carberry Baseball Club

Mrs. Haslam was Secretary of the I.O.D.E.
