Banister, Henry “Harry” Charles David
Biography: (1848 – 1898). Born in Wales. Married Amy Amelia Ward.
Claims: Road Master on CPR in Mb. 1880’s. In 1893 he came to Carberry
and took over the Dufferin House Hotel. Mayor 1921-27First Director
- Carberry Rink Association 1921.Served on the Board for many
years.

Banister, William Alfred
Biography: Born in Newcastle New Brunswick (1875 – 1956). Married
Florence Anna Carey (1878 – 1948) in 1898.
Claims: 1899 – took over the family hotel business (Dufferin House
Hotel). Since 1912 he owned the Western Hotel, Ford Dealership, and
Imperial oil in Carberry.
