The House at 229 Raglan Street is one of three older dwellings on Raglan Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in a section were some newer mixed-used buildings exist on the northern boundary of Virden’s Heritage Business District.

- its large form based on a Four-Square plan with an extension under a hipped roof
- Its brick finish with well-executed quoins in cement blocks and the cement block foundation
